I attached the arm to a metal stud with self tapping metal screws and it is strong and secure. The AVF NXL003PB is supporting a 19" Sharpe Aquos TV with a weight of ten pounds. There are many different mounts available on the net but this one has clean lines, safety features and holds the wires within the arm and out of the way. I am pleased with this purchase and recommend it for sure. Thank You!
