(More customer reviews)I bought this wall mount for my wife's workout room. We installed our 32" LCD TV on it. I chose this product because of the swivel articulation. I mounted it directly in front of my wife's treadmill, but wanted to ability to turn the TV sideways and down, so that she could use her Wii with it, as well. This product works about right with this size TV, but any larger, and I'd have to go with a different mount.
When inspecting this mount, prior to installing, I noticed a few things.
1)The instructions are sufficient for installation, but absolutely lack details about actually using the mount. It isn't rocket science, but it'd be nice to have some general usage suggestions.
2)The mounting holes on the wall plate are just a little too wide, if you're drilling into a single 2x4 stud in the wall. I actually had to drill at a slight angle, just to make sure I was going to hit the stud. So, when I inserted the screws, the screw heads weren't flush with the wall plate.
3)The arm of the mount slides in from the top, which was relatively easy to accomplish. But, the only thing keeping it from sliding all the way through the wall plate is a small set-screw at the bottom. That's it. It's probably sufficient, but they could have included something a little beefier, just for peace of mind.
4)The thumbscrews included for securing the VESA mount to the arm didn't come with any lockwashers. So, you should either add some lockwashers or you have to really crank down on the thumbscrews to keep it tight. And, even cranking down on it won't keep the TV from sagging downwards.
For the price and basic functionality, I give this 3 stars. But, it definitely loses points on these other 4 points.

(More customer reviews)This mount is of extremely poor craftsmanship. Picture is deceiving, product has a flimsy metal frame, that is "stiffened" by a plastic cover on both arms. The plastic arms snap together, but do not stay together. Had to use tape to hold together. This is one of the cheapest mounts out there. Would not recommend even at the low price.

Vanguard VM-842C Column Type Television and Monitor Mount (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this desk mount for the 19" LCD monitor I just bought. I did my research on desk mounts and I'm pleased with my choice.
It is solid metal, well made, every joint is adjustable..side to side and up and down. At the lowest point it holds the bottom of my monitor 1 1/2" above the desk top. I'm short, so I wanted something to let the screen sit low. I also wear bifocal glasses.. so having a lower screen means not having to kink my neck back to see through the bifocal part of my glasses.
Vanguard includes 4 sets of different sized screws to attach the Vesa mount to the monitor. I had no problems figuring out which size screws to use for my monitor.
The arms have plates to run the cords in the bottom of the arms and hold them secure. No plastic clip ons, although they provide a few plastic cinch ties, of which I didn't need. You'll need a very small phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the plates and reattach them. A "glasses" screw driver will work very nicely. I suggest mounting the cords in the arm, before attaching the mount to your monitor/TV.. those tiny screws could fall inside the Monitor.
The mounting head swivels up and down, while the joint just behind the mount swivels side to side. All the joints allow you to swing your monitor out of the way and adjust it further back or closer with nice tight joints. Once it's in place, it stays there, until you move it. No vibration from typing either! It's solid. There is also a screw on the mount to adjust the tilt of your monitor. Untighten to adjust, retighten to keep it snug.
It comes with a second mounting screw to place through your desktop, but the hand tightening over-the-edge clamp is big enough to be as secure as you'd want it. If you were mounting a heavier monitor or TV, you would probably need the extra secure screw hole on the top of the base that would screw into the top surface of your desk.
All in all, it's an excellent product and worth the price.

(More customer reviews)For the price, a good value. It works as intended. Holes and hardware (screws furnished) lined up well. Even with a small TV it is a two person job. Most important is to use a level for installation as once unit is on the wall the "head" can not be rotated. Outside of that slight problem this is a good unit for the price. Package came right to house in two days via USPS, standard shipping. Hard to believe isn't it? Express shipping would have cost more and probably would not have arrived any sooner.

(More customer reviews)First, let me say that this wall mount is exactly the type of mount I like to use. It is very easy to install and keeps the TV close to the wall.
Personally, I don't like gadgety wall mounts that pull in and out or angle the TV different ways since they are harder to mount so they look level. Those more complicated mounts also don't keep the TV as flush with the wall as simpler mounts like this one. I know that some people really have a need for the more complicated mounts; but I don't think most home users do.
Anyway, the method used by this mount to keep the TV level works great; but, I found that it introduces a new problem, which is why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. The problem is this mount makes it much easier to level the TV at the expense of making it harder to center from left to right.
I guess it just depends on your personallity for which type of mount you would prefer. If you are the type of person that will spend an extra 20 minutes making sure the mount itself is perfectly level, then you probably don't need this anyway - and a traditional mount will give you the added benefit of allowing the TV to slide left and right a bit to keep it perfectly centered. If you aren't great at leveling things on the wall or prefer to just do some minimal measuring before throwing the mount up, then this mount was made for you!

I bought two and wall mounted dual 22" widescreen monitors. They seem sturdy enough to mount a much larger monitor. Easy, simple set-up. Drill two holes into a stud, attach monitors and you're done. I used velcro wrap to tie up the cables and it looks very smooth. Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)This mount is about the best I have seen yet. Looking locally, I couldn't find anything for less than $60 -$80 (even walmart). This came home for about $25. It mounts easily, comes with all hardware, it is black, just like the TV I mounted and the cables I strap to it to get them out of the way. The swing is very smooth, there is very little rock (side-to-side). The tilt (pitch) is very sturdy but adjustble. I don't have a single complaint about this unit.
