We wanted one tall and wide enough to accommodate a cable box, a DVD player and a VCR, but no more than 32 inches long so it would fit on our chest-of-drawers. There are several out there that are either too small or too big. My search first brought up the smaller version of this product, then I found the XL 2. It's the only one that was the perfect size. It's very sturdy and was simple to put together. And although it swivels, it stays nicely in place when our cats jump up on the chest-of-drawers. It takes a bit more than cat power to push it around, I was relieved to learn.

Hawk Computer Monitor Turntable Review

(More customer reviews)This is a cheap Lazy Suzy for an art product or a potted plant to be place on. The design is two pieces of plastic on top of each other with ball bearing in the middle. It does not turn very well so it needs some friction from something heavy. I say 10-65 pound for it to work.

(More customer reviews)I am both happy and disappointed in this product. When I sat the TV on the stand, it immediately wanted to tip forward even though it was the correct size for my TV. Even with the weight of the DVD player in the bottom portion, it still wanted to tip. I ended up having to remove the swivel in order to ensure that the TV would not tip over. The two boards for the bottom area are not sanded and so they are rough; which, makes it difficult to clean. Yes, a person could sand it down and refinish it, but you should not have to do that with a new product. (A person could just go ahead and make this from scratch and not purchase it, but you purchase it so that it is already made and ready to use without having to do it yourself.) I am very pleased with the sturdiness of the product once the swivel base was removed though.
