I'm really happy with this little guy. It makes a nice second (or third) monitor without taking up space and being very easy to install. It was especially cool to have this as a second display on my laptop
The beauty here is that you don't need to fiddle with extra video cards. You just plug it in via USB and you're set.
I'm running Windows Vista on my desktop and laptop, and it installed without a hitch... although it was not immediate. Windows Vista found the driver online (automatically) so it took about 10 minutes before I was able to use it (yeesh). Still, not having to install anything from the disc was great, and the install process is painless.
The device looks great on a desk. The stand is very stylish.
The display is super sharp. 800x480 on something this small is quite a treat. I had to increase the font size of my IM client to be able to read it, but that was fine by me.
It's a 7" diagonal, which is about 6" x 3½". With the base, it stands about 8½" tall and is about 4" deep. You can also remove the base, and mount it to just about any compatible frame or hold it in your palm I suppose.
Video and graphics are very sharp, although I can't recommend this for high-quality video as the refresh rate (over USB) is just too slow. If you're watching YouTube it will be fine.
Whoever designed the packaging definitely deserves a raise, while the person who wrote the included manual needs to be fired. The manual is ugly and full of translation errors, but really you won't need it.
The built-in webcam works as well as any other webcam. I haven't tried the mic or headphone jack yet. Note that this model does not have built-in speakers.
The device driver lets you easily rotate the display (and physically, you just turn it, the stand supports it just fine). The driver also lets you set the display to "Mirror" mode which mirrors your existing monitor (and changes its resolution to 800x480).
There are three drawbacks:
The device requires TWO USB ports to function. It's awesome that this doesn't need AC power, but be ready to give up two USB ports.
If you want to use the microphone or headphone jack, you'll need to plug in two more cables -- one for the mic and another for headphones. The data is NOT carried over USB as I would have imagined. I think this is pretty lousy but perhaps there's a good reason.
The driver installed two extra processes that must run for the display to work, called DisplayLinkManager.exe and DisplayLinkUI.exe. Together, these take 24 MB of RAM. In my book, that's acceptable. Whatever that software is doing should be off-loaded onto the hardware.

MIMO UM-710S USB Powered 7 Inch Swivel LCD Screen Mini Display Review

I purchased this as a lap top dual screen display hooked to a Telescope taking astronomy pictures. The photo's are viewed here while I do other things with the computer. The low profile fold-up capabilty is unique and perfect for my limited transport and storage needs. The construction is better than I expected and the USB power needs fit my application (AC power is not abundant where I set up telescopes). The picture quality is equivalant to what I get on my lap top and hook up was straight forward on VISTA. The USB cable is not an issue. A dual-port USB came with the monitor but that was too bulky (and long). I replaced it with an old Olympus digital camera single port USB that had the same connector (but much shorter) and it works fine. So far (one month) the UM-71OS has done exactly what I had hoped for. There are no "CON's". The price is well worth the unique features (fold up, USB power, and rotational screen). I would and have recommended it to friends and associates.

MIMO UM-720S Touch Screen USB Powered 7 Inch Swivel LCD Screen Mini Display Review

I received the UM-720S promptly after ordering it, and I had no problem connecting it and starting to use it under Windows XP. It's very nice that only a single USB cable is required (as some USB-powered devices need to be plugged into two USB ports to get enough power). The display is crisp and bright, and the driver allows it to be rotated. The touchscreen functionality works reasonably well - it requires a firm press to register consistently, and the tracking is typical for these kind of screens (i.e. it's nowhere near the responsiveness of tracking on an iphone). It's very nice that you can use a stylus instead of your finger. The screen and stand are incredibly thin and compact when folded up. The USB connector comes straight out of the back of the screen, which may be awkward for some applications (like mine), but a right-angle USB connector can be obtained very cheaply. For the price, and for particular applications (such as building a custom controller), this is a very good product, and is currently quite unique. I'm getting close to ordering a second one, which should tell you how much I like it.
UPDATE: I just discovered that OpenGL operations do not work on a DisplayLink device (such as this monitor). So, if you're doing custom development of software to make use of this monitor, you should be sure to NOT use an OpenGL-based library. The DisplayLink drivers may support OpenGL, someday, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
