(More customer reviews)I thought I'd leave a review since no one purchases large cathode-ray tube TV's anymore.
I've done a lot of due diligence and on paper this was the best swivel stand out there.
Now I have this thing in my possession, here are my impressions:
This swivel is LARGE and HEAVY as it's solid wood, not cheap particle board.
I have a 55" LED TV (VIZIO XVT3D554SV) and am happy how the TV now swivels easily... there is no rocking or any other movement of the TV other than swiveling as intended.
My TV weighs 80 lbs, well under this swivel's 250 lbs limit.
The actual swivel mechanism is 1/4 of an inch tall so the TV is not going to fall even if there is a catastrophic failure of the mechanism but that's not going to happen as the bearings are encased in steel.
The wood is nicely painted black and seamlessly matches my TV's black frame.
I would recommend this swivel if your large LED/plasma TV does not have a built-in swivel.
