I bought this to mount a 20" flat screen on the salon bulkhead in my 34' sailboat. So far it is working as expected, but I need to hold the TV against the bulkhead while underway with a short shock cord. All of the articulated joints need to dogged down (tightened) with an allen-wrench/hex-key, which is fine for this application. For the price, $15+/-, it is sufficient for my needs.

Buyer beware!!! Make sure you want this item absolutely and positively before you order. You will have to pay return shipping and a restocking fee. Also, the bottom shelf is just two slats with a space in the middle. Not worth the price being charged.

Vanguard VM-841C Column Type Television and Monitor Mount (Black) Review

Vanguard VM-841C Column Type Television and Monitor Mount (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First off I want to say that I do like this product. For the price and what it does, it's great. I can adjust the height of my monitor, tilt it, swivel it, everything. The one downside is that it only has one arm that comes out, whereas other similar products have two or more that can adjust how far the monitor comes out toward the viewer. This one slight problem is something that can be a nuisance depending on where you want your monitor in reference to your workspace, as if you want it centered, but you don't want the monitor to come out the full distance it can, you'll have to make sure the base of the monitor arm is off-center in relation to the center of the monitor screen. So to have a perfect monitor position, you can't guess at where to put the monitor arm's base as where the base is dictates where the monitor screen will be.

Vanguard VM-842C Column Type Television and Monitor Mount (Black) Review

Vanguard VM-842C Column Type Television and Monitor Mount (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this desk mount for the 19" LCD monitor I just bought. I did my research on desk mounts and I'm pleased with my choice.
It is solid metal, well made, every joint is adjustable..side to side and up and down. At the lowest point it holds the bottom of my monitor 1 1/2" above the desk top. I'm short, so I wanted something to let the screen sit low. I also wear bifocal glasses.. so having a lower screen means not having to kink my neck back to see through the bifocal part of my glasses.
Vanguard includes 4 sets of different sized screws to attach the Vesa mount to the monitor. I had no problems figuring out which size screws to use for my monitor.
The arms have plates to run the cords in the bottom of the arms and hold them secure. No plastic clip ons, although they provide a few plastic cinch ties, of which I didn't need. You'll need a very small phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the plates and reattach them. A "glasses" screw driver will work very nicely. I suggest mounting the cords in the arm, before attaching the mount to your monitor/TV.. those tiny screws could fall inside the Monitor.
The mounting head swivels up and down, while the joint just behind the mount swivels side to side. All the joints allow you to swing your monitor out of the way and adjust it further back or closer with nice tight joints. Once it's in place, it stays there, until you move it. No vibration from typing either! It's solid. There is also a screw on the mount to adjust the tilt of your monitor. Untighten to adjust, retighten to keep it snug.
It comes with a second mounting screw to place through your desktop, but the hand tightening over-the-edge clamp is big enough to be as secure as you'd want it. If you were mounting a heavier monitor or TV, you would probably need the extra secure screw hole on the top of the base that would screw into the top surface of your desk.
All in all, it's an excellent product and worth the price.

Mx Desk Mount LCD Arm Review

Mx Desk Mount LCD Arm
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm already a huge fan of Ergotron products going back to when I used to design and install computer rooms and data centers. So, when the time came for me to buy something for my home office, I did shop a bit but always came back to Ergotron. Last year I purchased the LX Dual Desk Mount Arm to support a 22" Samsung monitor and my Apple MacBook Pro 15". This setup has been awesome, providing me with a dual-monitor feature that is really a time saver.
I want to provide some key information to anyone considering this device that I think will help you decide.
1) I purchased this arm concerned it may not support the weight of the Apple iMac 27" computer. The computer with the base weighs in at 30.5 lbs and without the base is ~27.5 lbs. so based on the math, I'm well within the weight range of the MX Arm spec. That being said, since I already knew how to adjust my LX Dual Arm setup, I found the MX to be identical in adjustment and fitment capability.
2) Ergotron sent a nice package of bolts, screws, desk-mount optional hardware and even a set of tools to make the adjustments. Setting it up was simple and getting attached was fairly straight forward. They provide a wing-nut to tighten the base to the desk but I recommend if you have a heavy monitor or computer like I do, go to a nearby hardware store and buy a nylon-insert nut (I forgot the specific size, just take the bolt with you) and use that to fasten it to the desk. Be sure not to over tighten it or you could potentially damage your furniture and the swing arm.
3) If your computer or monitor leans toward the high end of the scale with respect to the specification of this swing arm, be sure to pre-tighten the adjustment screws before you put weight on it. You'll find it much easier to do and, easier to adjust afterward. I should have I know but I didn't keep track of how many revolutions I made on the neck and head adjustments but suffice it to say it was more than 20 full revolutions. You'll get a sense for how the tension is but just be careful not to over tighten.
4) Make sure you've assembled everything according to the spec but also make sure you've installed your mounting bracket correctly so that you can just simply lay the monitor or the computer on the MX Arm and hand tighten the large plastic-headed screws to the 100x100 mounting plate. This will make life very easy.
Bottom line, I used the VESA Mount Adapter Kit for 24-inch/27-inch iMac and 24-inch LED Cinema Display - Apple Part Number: MC434ZM/A -- this worked perfectly and was very well made.
This was a very straight forward and very effective solution for what I was trying to achieve. I'm now able to swing my Apple 27" iMac 180 degrees around on my desk, pivot it upward about 70 degrees and lower it if needed. It works very well, its very well made and I highly recommend this to anyone considering this sort of mount for your large iMac or Cinema displays!!!

Dual Monitor Flex Stand Up To 24IN 22LBS/MONITOR Review

Dual Monitor Flex Stand Up To 24IN 22LBS/MONITOR
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This product is built great . . . very sturdy and appears to be high quality. Also liked the extra provision of cord ties and Velcro straps for tidying up the cords.
Unfortunately, it's sorely lacking in configurability, namely the height adjustment. This renders it unusable for me. I bought the stand to provide a bit more workspace under my monitors and provide an easy means of simultaneously adjusting the monitor height of my dual ViewSonic 22" displays. The maximum height this stand adjusts only brings my displays about 2.75" off my desktop, much lower than the stock ViewSonic stands and way too low for comfortable viewing.
For the price of this product and the effort the manufacturer went to with quality construction I can't understand why they would fail to address such basic functionality.
I'm returning mine.

Inland Pro LCD Monitor Arm 200 (VESA, Desk, & Wall Mount) Review

Inland Pro LCD Monitor Arm 200 (VESA, Desk, and Wall Mount)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Overall, for 30 bucks, this isn't a bad mount, but it wasn't what I was expecting from the images. For the good, it seems pretty sturdy, and will do what it's meant to do, but that's about it. First, this mount does not freely articulate. What appears to be a joint at the bottom of the mount arm is just a decorative cover. Under the cover is a grouping of screw holes that allow you to fix the arm in a variety of positions. There are 4 allen head screws that hold the arm in place. In order to elevate or lower the arm, you would have to remove the cover and those screws, and even then, there's only about 4 or 5 settings, so it's not limitless. The head of the mount where the monitor mounts however, does freely articulate up/down, side to side, and allows for screen rotation. Also the arm while it doesn't adjust up and down freely, does swivel as you might expect.
The next bit that's a little misleading is the wall mount option. Yes, it can be mounted to a wall, but there's no hardware included for that. The wall mount is accomplished by leaving off the clamps used for desk mounting, and using the holes provided for that part to attach the arm to the wall. The problem is the holes are about 3/8" in diameter, so you will need pretty large lag bolts if you want to use them for that. I simply drilled 2 smaller holes in bracket and used 3" drywall screws, which worked perfectly. But if you aren't prepared to do a bit of modification to the mount to facilitate wall mounting, you'll need some pretty big screws or lag bolts.
I rated it a 3 mainly because I think there's some intentional misleading in the design at the bottom to make you think it raises and lowers freely, and that wall mounting isn't quite as easy as they may like you to think. Aside from that it will certainly do its job, and will do what I needed it for. But if you need something with full articulation and ready adjustment, this one probably isn't for you.

Adjustable Tilting SINGLE Desk Mount Bracket for LCD(Max 33Lbs, 10~23inch)- Black Review

Adjustable Tilting SINGLE Desk Mount Bracket for LCD(Max 33Lbs, 10~23inch)- Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The monitor stand is very sturdy and the pole is more than tall enough for my 23" eMachines E230H monitor in portrait. With 5" of clearance during rotation, this could take a larger monitor. The base is a flat piece of steel that needs a very flat surface. I will be adding some stick-on felt feet (like these or larger Waxman 7284 Self-Stick Round Felt Pads, Brown, 1-Inch) so I don't scratch the desk surface.
Mine came with 4 sets of screws for mounting, 4 each of M4 and M5, both in 10 MM and 14 MM (total of 16). So if you need M5s instead of M4s, or extra long screws like I did, you are covered.
Does it rotate as easily and feel as solid as the older $160 Kensington unit I have at work? Solid: Yes (once you tighten the head). Rotate as easily: No. This unit has one ball joint handling both the tilt and rotation, instead of a separate bearing for rotation. I end up re-tilting after rotating. But at this price, I'll work with it until it. :)

Allsop Cupertino Monitor Stand - White Review

Allsop Cupertino Monitor Stand - White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered a pair of these monitor stands and I couldn't be less satisfied. First off, like the other reviews say, they look nice in the photos, but in reality they're shoddy and poorly built. One of the stands was missing two of the screws holding the white plastic to the silver frame.
However, the worst part about these is that they're not even remotely close to level, nor are they uniform in height. I have two monitors and I literally had to put a stack of about 30 sheets of paper under each side (60 total) of one to make the second stand match the height of the first stand, and then I had to shim one side of it by folding two pieces of paper 5 times and putting the under the right side of the two metal pieces. The other one had to have two pieces of paper folded 4 times under one side to get it level. Now I have a bunch of paper on my desk which doesn't exactly look nice, which is what these stands were supposed to deliver.
These stands may look nice from a distance, but the white plastic is not flush with the metal, they're not level, they're not uniform in height, there is no craftsmanship here and they're unquestionably not worthy of being compared to Apple products, a company that actually takes pride in their work.
I give this product a well deserved one star. If I could give it zero stars, I would. An unfortunate waste of time and money.

Peerless LCFS 100 - TV Stand for 10-30" Displays Review

Peerless LCFS 100 - TV Stand for 10-30 Displays
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this stand for my home gym. It was the only one I could find at
a decent price that was also tall enough to be seen over my elliptical
trainer. It is a very solidly made stand, but not very well designed.
1st drawback: Nearly the entire thing is put together with tiny set
screws (a dozen in all) that you must tighten with a tiny allen wrench.
This makes height adjustments quite a pain. Peerless really should have
at least put a thumb screw at the height adjustment pipe. To workaround
this, I found an adjustable hose clamp with a built in plastic
thumbscrew at the 99cent store, and it works great.
2nd drawback: There is no up/down angle adjustment where the tv is
mounted, so it must always stay basically flat perpendicular to the
floor. Adding this feature would probably have added somewhat to the
price, but I would have gladly paid for it.
Other than these two issues, this is a solid and pretty nice-looking
stand which can also hide your cables pretty well.

Ergotron 45-174-300 Neo-Flex LCD Arm-Extension Grommet Desk Mount Review

Ergotron 45-174-300 Neo-Flex LCD Arm-Extension Grommet Desk Mount
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Neo-flex stand might seem pricey to some, but this is a case of getting what you pay for as it is well worth the money. This stand is versatile: You can remove the extension to shorten it and it comes with parts for either a surface edge or grommet mount. The machined aluminum parts and overall aesthetic of this LCD panel VESA mount are beautiful -- and made to last. The directions have no text, but surprisingly the drawings are so well done that I understood every step of the disassembly and reassembly process (I only did this because I shortened it and then changed my mind later: It comes packaged with the extension and surface edge mount version installed and ready to go). Every joint either pans, swivels or tilts. Nothing but praise for this item (my only minor complaint is that there are no spare parts included, so don't lose any unpacking).

Neoflex LCD Stand, Black Review

Neoflex LCD Stand, Black

This stand replaced the stock non-height adjustable stand on my Acer X243w (24" LCD). Despite being spec'd on the manufacturers site for 22" displays or less, this stand seems to easily handle 24" or larger ones with ease. There is zero wobble. The base rotates (like a lazy-susan), the screen can be raised or lowered with one finger, and the display can be tilted or rotated. Assembly was super easy. I am very happy with this purchase.

One of the threads for the tightening knobs was slanted. Not sure if this was the caused, but the stand would not hold my 22" ViewSonic monitor upright in portrait mode. Also, buyers should clearly understand that you cannot swivel the monitor with this mount - in order to switch between portrait and landscape mode, you must remove the bracket mounting plate from the back of the monitor and reinstall it in the other mode; otherwise the hooks that attach the monitor to the bracket wouldn't work (they slide into the bracket vertically.

Once I got this put together it was fine. But I was not expecting it to need to be assembled and was not happy about having to spend the time to do it. Be forwarned!!
Also, although this size was fine I also bought the next size up for a larger TV and the unit could not handle the weight. Those of us that still have our picture tube TV's know how heavy they are. We have an older 24" Sony Trinitron (which still works like a champ)- but this unit cannot support it. The metal undeath that allows it to swivel simply cannot hold the weight.

OFC Express TV Stand 25 x 11 x 5.25
Average Reviews:

Overall we're happy with this stand and are glad we bought it.
Pros:
* Looks exactly as expected
* Easy to assemble
* Strong - I believe that it could hold > 100 lbs
Cons:
* 2 corners were dinged badly (no big deal since we could move the dinged side to the rear)
** The 5.25 clearance underneath is very misleading. The 5.25 is the top of the base to the bottom, it includes the thickness of the wood. I thought I would easily be able to stack a cable box and a blu ray player underneath, but was only able to do so once I pried the rubber legs off of my cable box.
